• Pleasant Hill: Thursdays from Feb 1 to April 11, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm

• Appointments are required.  No Walk-In appointments are permitted in 2024

Tax Year 2023 Model of Operation: IN-PERSON  In this model a tax counselor will conduct an in-take interview with the taxpayer(s) while reviewing the taxpayer's completed intake form and tax documents.  The counselor will then prepare the initial tax return.  A second counselor will independently review the tax return and review the return with the taxpayer(s).  If the taxpayer(s) would like to then have the return submitted, they will authorize Tax-Aide to submit the return to the IRS and will be provided with a copy of the return.   

Taxpayer responsibilities prior to the initial visit: 

Pick-up and complete an intake package prior to arrival for scheduled appointment.  Intake packages are available at Uplands Village Real Estate Office or Pleasant Hill Town Hall.

Bring the following documents to the initial visit: 

• IRS Form 13614-C Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet (this form is found in the intake package you picked up from the Uplands Village Real Estate Office or Pleasant Hill Town Hall.  (Complete this form prior to the first appointment.) 

• All necessary Tax Year 2023 tax documents 

• Your 2022 tax return if available.  This is especially important if your taxes were not prepared by Tax-Aide last year.

• Any relevant letters received from the IRS, especially any Personal Identification Number the IRS may have provided due to a previous identify theft situation.

• Picture identification 

• Proof of Social Security number for those who will be listed on the return 

• Routing number and account number for electronic deposits/payment, if desired

• This site operates on an appointment-only basis.  Walk-ins are not taken at this site.

• The best way to make an appointment is to Click here, this will bring you to the Tax-Aide scheduling site.  Follow the directions to obtain an appointment that agrees with your schedule.  Make sure that you follow all the way through until you reach a box that says "Confirm Information" and that you click it and receive appointment confirmation.  You will receive a confirmation email of your appointment, as well as a reminder email 3 days prior to your appointment, and another reminder 1 day prior.

• IF you CANNOT make an appointment using the link provided, call (423) 405-3941 and leave a message.  A Tax-Aide volunteer will return your call to assist you in setting up an appointment.  This line is not monitored continuously, so it may be a few days before you receive a call back.
