Tax Year 2024 Model of Operation: IN-PERSON In this model a tax counselor will conduct an in-take interview with the taxpayer(s) while reviewing the taxpayer's completed intake form and tax documents. The counselor will then prepare the initial tax return. A second counselor will independently review the tax return and review the return with the taxpayer(s). If the taxpayer(s) would like to then have the return submitted, they will authorize Tax-Aide to submit the return to the IRS and will be provided with a copy of the return.
Taxpayer responsibilities prior to the initial visit:
Pick-up and complete an intake package prior to arrival for scheduled appointment. Intake packages are available at Uplands Village Real Estate Office or Pleasant Hill Town Hall.
Bring the following documents to the initial visit:
IRS Form 13614-C Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet (this form is found in the intake package you picked up from the Uplands Village Real Estate Office or Pleasant Hill Town Hall. (Complete this form prior to the first appointment.)
All necessary Tax Year 2024 tax documents
Your 2023 tax return if available. This is especially important if your taxes were not prepared by Tax-Aide last year.
Any relevant letters received from the IRS, especially any Personal Identification Number the IRS may have provided due to a previous identify theft situation.
Picture identification
Proof of Social Security number for those who will be listed on the return
Routing number and account number for electronic deposits/payment, if desired

Make sure that you follow all the way through until you reach a box that says "Confirm Information" and that you click it and receive appointment confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email of your appointment, as well as a reminder email 3 days prior to your appointment, and another reminder 1 day prior.
